I believe dance is a universal language, and I strive to bring inclusivity, empowerment, and joy to individuals and communities through the power of dance. My ultimate vision is to use dance as a healing tool to connect, uplift, and restore freedom and strength within us.

About

Flora Hyoin Kim is a Korean-American dance artist, educator, and choreographer born in Seoul, South Korea, raised in Boston, MA, and currently based in New Jersey/NYC. Since earning her B.F.A. in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Flora has performed and worked with companies and choreographers in Boston, New York, and San Francisco including Lenora Lee Dance, Prometheus Dance, Jenna Pollack, beheard.world, Jennifer Lin, Continuum Dance Project, Deborah Abel Dance Company, Lorraine Chapman, Riley Watts, Korhan Basaran, Hollis Bartlett, Nattie Trogdon, and Urbanity Dance.

Her works have been presented at Harvard Kennedy School, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, Onstage Dance Company Choreographer Residency Showcase, First Church in Cambridge, Korean Church of Boston, and Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul, South Korea.

Flora is a former assistant professor of dance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and a lecturer of dance at the Brandeis University. She is also a former faculty at Boston Ballet School, Urbanity Dance, Coastline Ballet Center, LINX Dance, StyleMe Dance as well as several Boston Public Schools and community centers.
